Multi-cooker Redesign
Industrial design coursework (kitchenware)
The brief was to reverse engineer and improve the design of a home appliance, keeping physical UI design in mind and also increasing communication between a user and the appliance without changing typical user habits.
The Comfee multi cooker is an affordable alternative to many similar appliances. I am redesigning the product by increasing its functionality and app capabilities. Keeping in the mind the needs of future consumers, I also set to create a line of products according to the trends of the competitive market.

Vivifying the App
Cooking Process
The app has the ability to schedule cooking ahead of time and to let the user remote start the cooker. Users can select from recipe presets or create their own. The timer counts down the remaining cook time, and the app can notify the user if the cooker shuts down automatically to prevent burning.
Searching Recipes
The filter/control button expands out to show the categories of recipes and cook times. Users can scroll through recipes and select them for more details. Each recipe is written out and available as a preset.
